Anyone can make money online.
Just look at me – I worked in the same London advertising agency for 19 years and for at least half that time I hated it.
I was a corporate employee for so long that the very thought of doing anything ‘entrepreneurial’ scared me to my roots. Sure, I always SAID that I’d love to find another way to make a living – given that I hated my job – but with three small children and a crippling mortgage, I would probably have never taken the plunge.
So when I was laid off, made redundant, and thrown on the scrap heap, at the tender age of 44, with the minimum payoff they could justify, I was lost. I was a ship without a rudder, with torn sails in massive storm.
I had always known the day was coming. When I first met Delia and she seemed impressed that I worked in the glamorous, exciting advertising industry. I told her that firstly it was anything but glamorous or exciting, and that I’d be lucky to stay employed past my 40th birthday. I made four years beyond that, but my prospects of ever getting back into the only job I knew were remote. Even if I had wanted to!
At 44 I was a dinosaur. A very unemployable dinosaur at that, who was facing the very real possibility that we might have to sell the house.
At the time – the end of 1999 – I was barely aware of the Internet. I had handled a few ‘Internet’ clients in my latter years at the agency, but as they had all gone bust (or soon would when the dot-com bubble burst) my knowledge of how ordinary people could make money online was almost zero.
Enter the Affiliate
I didn’t really know it back then, but I became an affiliate marketer. I’m not even sure the term existed in those days!
I created a product or two, built a list, and started writing newsletters (ezines, as they were mostly called back then). But, when you analyze how I made most of my money once I started to be a bit more savvy and a lot more successful, it was mainly from affiliate marketing. I earned commissions from recommending other people’s products that I had bought and liked.
In the early days I dabbled in all kinds of Internet methods – AdSense, Niche sites, keyword-stuffed mini sites, sites with lots of content, sites with virtually no content, PLR, Public Domain – you name it, I tried it. A lot of those methods are now considered black hat, but at the time that wasn’t really a thing – until Google started to crack down.
When Google started to realize that many marketing methods were diluting their ability to serve up meaningful search results, they set about doing all they could to put a stop to it.
From $250,000 to zero, overnight.
A lot of people who relied of some very dubious marketing methods suddenly found their incomes wiped out. One guy I knew, who was making over a quarter million a year from AdSense sites, went to virtually zero overnight.
That’s the problem with crafty methods that push the boundaries: you might make a bit of cash in the short term, but long term you are usually doomed to fail. Unless you make your money from an honest, ethical and totally above board method.
In the main, I have always been pretty much unaffected by the Google changes and the changing fashion of online marketing because affiliate marketing, when done the right way, is about as white-hat as you can get. Of course you do need to keep up-to-date with the best methods because things change very fast online.
Next Generation Affiliate 3
That’s one of the reasons I really like the Next Generation Affiliate 3 program that Matt Garrett and Tony Marriott are selling right now. It is completely above board, totally white hat, and bang up-to-date.
I wish I’d had training like this when I was forced to find my way online 20 years ago. The learning curve would have been so much easier!
I’m certain that anyone can make money online, but unfortunately, an awful lot of people try and fail. The biggest reason, in my opinion, is that so many self-styled teachers of Internet marketing don’t know much about it themselves! They teach out-dated and out-moded strategies that perhaps worked once, but don’t anymore.
Or worse, they are successful themselves, but they are bad teachers who assume you understand every step and so leave out the important chunks.
Matt and Tony are very successful online marketers who often top the affiliate marketing leaderboards. They are also great teachers. Next Generation Affiliate 3 shows you exactly what is working today and will work for a long time into the future.
Who are Matt Garrett and Tony Marriott?
In case you haven’t heard of him before, Matt is a UK-based Internet marketer who has been around for years.
I first met Matt at a seminar I attended way back. He was successful then, and he is still successful today.
Matt is both an affiliate marketer – promoting other peoples’ products, and a very accomplished product creator in his own right. In fact, his WordPress security plugins are the best in their class.
I don’t know Tony Marriott personally, just by reputation. He is also a ‘super affiliate’, and, I’m told, an all-round good guy.
When Next Generation Affiliate 3 came out I grabbed a copy and even though I have twenty years experience of being a successful affiliate marketer in my own right, was blown away because this is the BEST affiliate training I have seen.

Both Matt and Tony are what I call ‘ethical’ affiliates. They have a very similar philosophy towards online marketing to mine. That’s why I was so keen to see what they had done with Next Generation Affiliate 3. I wasn’t disappointed.
Unusually, in this video age, the 15 modules are all PDFs – some of them multiple PDFs – and they cover the subject in a lot of detail.
Personally I much prefer PDF training to videos. I can print them out to read at my own pace, easily revisit parts that I want to clarify and make copious margin notes. Best of all, PDFs don’t send me to sleep like so many droning videos do!
Anyone who takes this course – and follows the tried-and-true- instructions – can’t help become a better affiliate marketer. And if you really follow the advice as it is set out, you will become one of the best. It’s THAT good.
A Word of Warning
This is NOT a one-click, push-button, done-for-you, get-rich-overnight, loophole-exploiting, unrealistic piece of **** like so many IM products these days. Next Generation Affiliate 3 is a well-constructed, highly-realistic training course that is a breath of fresh air in today’s market.
Here is what Tony Marriott wrote:
“Next Generation Affiliate 3 has been written from the ground up with only one objective in mind: to show you how to be a successful affiliate marketer.
I am sorry, but I’m not going to promise you a 6-figure income in 30 days.
I won’t show you dodgy short cuts, black hat methods or short-lived plans.
NGA3 is NOT a magic bullet or a get rich quick scheme.
If that’s what you want, then please look elsewhere.
This is a comprehensive guide to modern affiliate marketing that is designed to create affiliate marketing professionals who will have the potential to build a real, long term business online.”
Full Disclosure
I recommended the first version of Next Generation Affiliate way back in 2005. It was a great product then and helped me build my business in so many ways, and it is an even better product now. It has been completely rewritten and updated, so although the new version shares a name with the original, that’s about as far as it goes!
Your questions answered…
One of the really nice things about writing Kickstart is the feedback. I love to hear from subscribers – whether commenting on some of the things I’ve rambled on about, asking questions about things I’ve recommended, or just saying hello.
Quite a lot of Kickstart readers bought ‘Next Generation Affiliate 3’ , and, I am glad to say, so far the feedback has been 100% positive.
There have been a few questions though. I have answered them all privately, but in case you are wondering the same things, but haven’t liked to ask, I have reproduced them here for you…
Q1. “Is this all about affiliate marketing in the Internet marketing niche, or does it cover other areas too?”
While it is mainly about digital affiliate marketing (which tends to lean towards IM) the course is not entirely focused that way.
Here is an extract from the module on the different types of affiliate marketing:
“At some point you will need to decide what affiliate marketing method is best for you. In general we recommend digital products. This is the area in which we have had the most success.
“I also know that physical products can be very attractive to new marketers so we have also include training for that as well. In practice the system you need to build to be successfully is pretty much the same in each case. So if you do decide on one it is very easy to add in the other or even take that new path completely further down the line or even create separate systems for both digital and physical products. And even multiple niches. We do not recommend starting out with CPA (cost per action) marketing. It is difficult for new starters to get access to the various networks. It is a much better option for more experienced marketers. Specifics for CPA marketing are not included in this training.”
I would say that whether the specific sections are about IM niches or more general stuff, the basic principles of ‘best practice’ apply, so the skills taught are easily transferable.
Q2. “How long will it take me to start making money with this?”
That’s a really good question. The trouble is that there isn’t a really good answer. For some people, making money online is far easier than for others. I’ve never really fully understood why, but I think it largely comes down to how much bad information you have already absorbed.
While ‘Next Generation Affiliate 3’ does indeed give you a really clear blueprint that ‘should’ get you started – and making money – within a few weeks, some people will always have problems. They may try to shortcut the process, without understanding that every step is important. They may argue with the method because something they bought before says do things a different way. They may just have a subconscious block that tells them they can’t succeed – and so they never will.
All I can say is that the ‘Next Generation Affiliate 3’ system is 100% real, it works and if you follow it without constantly second-guessing, you WILL become a successful affiliate.
But how long will that take? A week? A month? Quicker? Longer? It took me two years before I was earning a decent income as an affiliate, but I didn’t have a proven blueprint like ‘Next Generation Affiliate 3’ to guide me.
Here’s an example of how quick affiliate results CAN be… I made a video about the differences between two leading ebook design systems: Designrr and Sqribble. It took me a day to make the video and post it to YouTube, and since then I have done nothing. Not one thing. But that video made me its first commission after a couple of hours, and has, so far, made me hundreds of dollars in affiliate commissions.
Not a bad return on a couple of hours work, no list, no website and no promotions.
Here’s a secret… ‘Next Generation Affiliate 3’ covers making quick YouTube videos as an affiliate marketing tool!
So the answer to ‘how long will it take to make money with this system’ is unanswerable but in my experience, it could be REALLY fast!
Q3. “You mentioned that the first upsell would be useful for people, but can you explain why? I don’t want to buy ‘Next Generation Affiliate 3’ just to buy the upsell if it won’t really help me.”
Good question, and one I didn’t particularly want to elaborate because my recommendations are always about the main product, not the upsell. But in this case I will break my rule because your point is well made.
The upsell (OTO#1) is for a cloud based software called ‘Easy Pro Funnels v2’. As the name implies, it is a system for setting up sales funnels to promote products that you pick on JVZoo, Warrior Plus and Clickbank, but unlike other funnel building systems, the focus is on building yourself a list.
It does a whole lot more, which you’ll see on the sales page.
What particularly interests me is that you can pick the products from JVZoo and Warrior Plus that you want to promote – and that means you can promote the very best stuff that other affiliates may overlook!
Remember, even though I think Easy Pro Funnels is great, it isn’t necessary for you to buy it. Next Generation Affiliate 3 is a stand-alone product
In summary
Next Generation Affiliate 3 is comprehensive, accurate and straight-forward training in what is, in my opinion, one of the easiest and fastest ways to start making money online. Affiliate marketing.
When I started affiliate marketing many years ago it took me a long time to understand the ropes. It took me even longer to know HOW to write recommendations that made people want to find out more.
It was probably 8 months before I made my very first commission – $25 – for introducing someone to a $97 product. I was never able to cash the check because at the time my bank wouldn’t accept international payments that small!
I wish I had kept the check and framed it – it ended up being worth thousands of times more than $25 to me because it was the proof to me (and my wife Delia) that all my hard work learning how to be an Internet marketer was worthwhile.
If I’d had access to training like Next Generation Affiliate 3, my learning curve would have been MUCH shorter, and my journey MUCH smoother.
I didn’t, but you do.
