Secrets of an Ethical Affiliate

By Martin

There are two types of affiliate marketers...

  1. Those who promote anything to make a fast buck.
  2. The ethical ones whose reputation depends on promoting the best.

When I started affiliate marketing over 20 years ago, I made a conscious decision to check out everything I recommended to make sure it was what it purported to be, and that it was genuinely helpful to people who bought it.

Without even realizing it at the time, I became the second type of affiliate marketer.

Not that I am alone in being an ethical affiliate, or putting the needs of my audience above the desire to make quick cash at any cost. There are many decent people who promote excellent products - in every niche imaginable.

It is just that, sadly, there are even more who will plug any old garbage.

It isn't even always their fault - nobody has told them to do otherwise...

...Until Now

Secrets of an Ethical Affiliate is the distillation of my own processes that help me choose which products to promote, and which to avoid like the plague.

When I started to write what eventually became Secrets of an Ethical Affiliate, I imagined it would be a simple checklist and maybe 1,000 words of explanation.

It didn't turn out like that.

Somehow it kept growing. The more I thought about the system I use to select the best products to recommend to my readers, the more steps I realized I subconsciously take. And then each step needed to be explained with the 'because' and the 'context' to make it all make sense.

In the end, after over 2 months of writing, Secrets of an Ethical Affiliate came in at 18,817 words over 105 pages.

Thank you for Secrets of an Ethical Affiliate. It's an excellent piece of work and a very thorough tutorial. I'm completely blown away by the value you have packed into it.

Tell All and Damn the Consequences

Nothing is held back. I tell you exactly how I assess every product I recommend, why I reject the majority of new launces, and how I decide which products I can promote with a clear conscience.

To be honest, this exposé of the seedy underbelly of the Internet marketing business will make me a lot of enemies because I reveal things that many vendors and affiliate would rather stayed secret.

It Almost Wrote Itself

As I wrote, I also began to suspect that this was a book that wanted to be written.

There are dozens of products that tell you how to be an affiliate marketer. Some are awful and a few are excellent. None, to my knowledge, have ever tackled the thorny subject of how to be an ethical affiliate marketer.

Secrets of an Ethical Affiliate is not another how-to book about getting started in affiliate marketing. I don't tell you how to get started, or even why you should.

But if you are already an affiliate, or want to become one, I teach you how to filter out the tempting, but trashy products, build your reputation as someone who recommends the best, and always put the needs of your audience first.

Apart from the obvious - sleeping well at night - there is another excellent reason why ethical affiliate marketing is the best way to go...

You will make far more money from a much smaller audience.

When you have a reputation for making honest and ethical recommendations, your audience is far more likely to buy. That's why, with a tiny list that is at least one-tenth the size of some affiliate's lists, I am regularly among the top affiliates for products I promote.

Just a big 'Thank You' for 'Secrets of an Ethical Marketer', a magnum opus delivered in typical Avis-like style!

A Tool for Buyers Too

While Secrets of an Ethical Affiliate was written for affiliate marketers, there is another group of people who should read it:

Anyone who buys products from Warrior+, JVZoo or Clickbank.

It is easy to be taken in by unscrupulous affiliate who promote trash by giving it a glowing report. It is even easier to be hoodwinked by over hyped sales pages that promise the Earth but only deliver a handful of dirt.

But with the secret knowledge I reveal in Secrets of an Ethical Affiliate, anyone can soon learn to make informed decisions to buy. And, more often than not, understand why that shiny new thing is not what it seems.

As you will read inside, one of my biggest gripes is weasel-worded guarantees. So this is crystal clear: If you don't like Secrets of an Ethical Affiliate, for any reason, just let me know and I will refund your money.

The Warrior+ Marketplace

As I mainly recommend products from the Warrior+ marketplace, that is the focus of Secrets of an Ethical Affiliate, but the process is virtually identical for JVZoo, and very similar for Clickbank.

You said it had grown big, but I wasn't expecting that! 'Secrets' is, by far, the most complete explanation of the ethical affiliate thinking process I've ever seen.

The Clock is Ticking

Right now the price of Secrets of an Ethical Affiliate is $27.

Only subscribers of Kickstart Newsletter are 'in on the secret' .
Secrets of an Ethical Affiliate hasn't gone on public sale yet.

However, I have already been approached by 4 well-known (and totally ethical) affiliate marketers. They have said that it matches their own standards and would like me to release it to the public on the Warrior+ platform sooner rather than later so they can promote it.

I don't know if Warrior+ will approve it for sale there as I reveal several things that I am sure they are not keen on everyone knowing.
